Hello,

Can someone tell me if Themaleecher would also run on an ubuntu 16.04 system.
Maybe someone has already walked there and could tell me how he got it.

Hi,

it's an .exe file. I tried in the past and know some people who did run it fine with "Wine" (tool for running .exe files on Linux / Ubuntu).

So yes, it can be run on Ubuntu.

With me starts themaleecher not.
Got ubuntu 16.04 TLS, latest wine version.
What java version do you need?

Hi,

you don't need anything (nor java nor anything else, it's a native application).

What error Wine is showing?

Are you sure you running Wine correctly?

So I think times the wine runs properly,
Since I have with other tools no problems.
ThemaLeecher starts not at all.

I have tested it with the following wine versions, 1.8, 1.9 and the current 2.0rc

Hi,

I have seen it stuck like that without any error message.

I could only suggest:
* Make sure the folder has all permissions.
* Make terminal command is running as admin.
* Try to run Wine command from terminal (not GUI) if you didn't before. Maybe you will be able to see some errors from Wine in terminal.

Maybe you're missing video drivers? Or try to update them.

If that doesn't help I could only suggest to contact Wine developers and maybe they will have more information.
