when we leech posts from non english sites we get very bad characters instead. example:

when we leech this post we get posts like next in themaleecher:



we get all ???? etc in the titles and posts

could you please fix this

You must add http://alphawarez.ru in the "WEBSITES" tab.

After that it will leech correctly this website.

The same goes to all non-English websites or even English.
Just add websites which you're using to "WEBSITES" tab first.

I see a lot of disabled webistes.

The website must be enabled.

Also try to press "Update" button, maybe when you added, it used different charset. It will update it.

I tried with your URL in first post. It fetches normally.

disbaled websites? yes i dont use them, thats not the problem. i have deleted all the websites now except http://alphawarez.ru/rss.xml

added it again, clicked on update and fetched again, again same thing. i dont have teamviewer. the tool must have problems with russian language.

i have tested it with another russian website: http://0lik.ru/rss.xml

again i get only posts like: http://i.imgur.com/kTY8H5p.png

Seems like their RSS have problems.

Use the Pages leeching. It will leech the same messages correctly.


Just add "http://alphawarez.ru" to "Pages (or any category URL).

RSS should be fine in 2.12 (next udpate).

but then the problem is with a lot of websites when u just add it the website to the page to fetch posts it doesnt work, u need to add the .xml url to the rss, then u get the message: failed to find messages, test it yourself with:

http://7ero.ru or http://8torrent.net or http://www.abandomoviez.net or http://games2pc.ru

also its not the fault of their rss, i have tested it with 150 russian dle sites. all of them give this

I already fixed RSS problem in next update (2.12) as mentioned above.

For "Failed to find messages" you just need to add custom selectors (as described in the FAQ) and leeching will work fine.

Made the 2.12 alpha available with the RSS charset problem fix: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6079

Give it a try when you can.
